Aleppo NGO: Syrian children learn about historical and cultural monuments of Armenia

On June 10, 2017, Syrian children gathered at the center of the Aleppo Compatriotic Charitable NGO again within the framework of the Center for Syrian children and youth.

This time, the meeting was dedicated to Armenia’s cities and their cultural and historical heritage and monuments. The children got introduced to the city of Dilijan, learned about its name, and discovered the history of Makaravank monastery located on the foothills of the Paytatap mountain. During the class, Syrian children also learned about Ijevan, Artsakh and Shushi, as well as the history and architecture of Shushi’s Ghazanchetsots cathedral.

At the end of the meeting, the children also participated in a drawing class and played games.
Initiated by Aleppo NGO, the Center for Syrian children and youth aims at providing Syrian children with knowledge and skills vital for the development of personality.

To remind, the meetings at Aleppo Compatriotic Charitable NGO’s Center for Syrian children and youth take place on every Saturday from 15:00 until 17:30 for participants aged between 4 to 9 and 10 to 16 years old.
